Trekell L64C Quadruple Oil Primed Linen Panel combines a fine, portrait-grade linen surface with the stability of a rigid Baltic Birch backing, creating a smooth painting surface designed specifically for oil painters.

This 12" x 16" panel features Artfix L64C linen prepared with four coats of oil primer. The fine weave has little-to-no surface texture, making it especially well suited for portraits, realism, glazing, fine detail, and painting techniques where a smoother surface is preferred.

The linen is mounted to premium 1/4" B/BB Grade Baltic Birch using BEVA Film, eliminating the flex of stretched linen while providing a strong, rigid painting surface. The Baltic Birch is sealed with Golden GAC 100 before the linen is mounted.

Ready to paint with oils, this panel provides artists with the refined surface of oil-primed linen and the stability of a rigid Baltic Birch panel.

About Oil-Primed Linen

Oil-primed linen can naturally darken or develop variations in color when it is stored or kept away from light. If your linen arrives darker or shows uneven coloration, place the panel in an area with natural light. Exposure to light will help the linen return to a lighter, more even appearance. This natural color change does not affect the performance of the painting surface.

Because the L64C linen has a very fine weave with little-to-no surface texture, small variations or imperfections in the weave on the back of the linen may become visible after it is pressed to the panel. The natural color of the linen may also vary from panel to panel.

For hanging or display, this flat panel should be framed or mounted to a cradle.
