Trekell #13 Oil Primed Linen Panel – 1/8" Hardboard – 9" x 12"
Trekell #13 Oil Primed Linen Panel combines fine, portrait-grade Belgian linen with the stability of a rigid hardboard backing, providing oil painters with a refined surface for detailed and controlled painting techniques.
This 9" x 12" panel features Claessens #13 linen, a fine-weave linen with a subtle texture that provides enough tooth for oil paint while maintaining a smooth feel. The linen is oil primed with Zinc White and Titanium White bound in linseed oil and arrives ready to paint with oils.
The linen is mounted to 1/8" tempered hardboard using BEVA Film, eliminating the flex of stretched linen while maintaining a thin, lightweight profile. The hardboard is sealed with Golden GAC 100 before the linen is mounted.
With its fine weave and subtle tooth, Claessens #13 is especially well suited for portraits, realism, glazing, fine detail, and artists who prefer a smoother linen surface without eliminating texture entirely.

About Oil-Primed Linen
Oil-primed linen can naturally darken or develop variations in color when it is stored or kept away from light. If your linen arrives darker or shows uneven coloration, place the panel in an area with natural light. Exposure to light will help the linen return to a lighter, more even appearance. This natural color change does not affect the performance of the painting surface.
Because linen is a natural material, subtle variations in weave, texture, and color may occur from panel to panel.
For hanging or display, this flat panel should be framed or mounted to a cradle.
